Morning again, it's fine here, if a bit chilly.
We are having new taps put in in the bathroom and the man is coming at 9am to do them. The water will have to go off of course, so we'll fill a container of water in preparation.
The washing machine door is on the blink, so that's something else to see to, dh is going to take it off and try and fix it. There's always something.
Not much else going on today.
Hope everyone is ok and has good days, take care folks.16 -

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope the tap change goes smoothly and your WM door can be fixed.
Dry this morning for a change but quite chilly, will definitely need a jacket today. Yesterday's showers were quite epic at times but the sun came out at 8.30pm! Washing dried inside, just the quilt cover to finish airing on the bannister today. Good trip to Costco, got a couple of items of children's clothing that was reduced to put away for birthdays/Christmas.
Hope you hear something from SW regarding Rob Ruby, he sounds a joy.
Work today, must take back some library books after but apart from that not a lot happening.
My good cousins went to my Aunt's church yesterday to thank everyone for their support and to try to get over the shennagigans at the funeral, I think it's helped them, just sorry I couldn't go.
Hope you are all well and have a good day. Take care. XX16 -

Morning all - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. Fingers crossed that the tap replacement is problem free.Gorgeous photo @AA, looks idyllic.Yesterday was strangely slothful.
After a lot of inconsequential pottering, and waiting for the rain to stop, I settled down to watch all episodes of Death Valley on iPlayer. It's beautifully shallow viewing, no effort required and lively characters. No real mystery involved so a few pleasant hours were spent letting it drift over me as I did some internet stuff.
This morning it's my exercise class and then this afternoon it's my Shingles jag 2, should be a brief affair.I hope that everyone is doing well. Hugs to all.14 -

Lovely bright day here, we have had a power company digging up the road outside for about a week they turned up and started working at 5.30 this morning 😳 it’s a tad early for such big machinery !
Rob coming today and we are off to meet our friends for a walk along the canal and a picnic lunch, first though I need to get onto the sw and chase the money up again, as it stands he doesn’t even have enough for a cup of tea.
I have a new gardener coming to have a look at mums garden this evening I got rid of the last one as he was a bit useless and charging her for more hours than he did which really annoys me, he was taking advantage of her, this new lady sounds nice so hopefully it will work out.
I will shove some jacket potatoes in later for dinner as I am meeting the gardener at 5 so they can be cooking while I am out and then a quick dinner to prep when I get back.
I went to pick mum up yesterday for her appointment and she was asleep in bed, she had got up and showered and then lay back down and fallen asleep, she got up and went to get dressed quickly but then her blood sugars went low and she had a funny turn, so we had to cancel the appointment and I made her some breakfast and a cuppa, I then tidied the kitchen for her and the utility and made her bed, hoovered through and put a wash on, she is struggling to cope with things now so we are going to look for another cleaner to come in on a Friday to help her stay on top of things.
Have good days all and take care xx14 -
Good morning
A bright start after sudden downpours last night, not forecast.
Thanks for your kind words re my dgd. It seems the problem is (and I will put this as delicately as possible), dgd is 13 years old, and at an age where changes happen in her body. She is small for her age and one thing that happens every month hasn't happened yet, so she is being made to feel not one of the gang. Despite reassurances from the staff at school, it's a time when a girl needs her mum, and she only sees her at weekends. Not an easy one to resolve. Will find out more later. Rosy, I hope everything gets better for your dgd, it such a worry.
Not sure what's happening today, DH was talking yesterday about going to the diy in the city, not sure what for.
Maybe sausage and mash for tea. Yesterdays roast was delicious, I even made up a bowl for big dog, a rare treat.
Have a good day everyone whatever you're doing hugs to all who need them. Take care.

Good morning
Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons
Yet another bad night, been awake since 3 am
Seems a bit cooler this morning.
Will pop out for some fruit this morning, not much else happening.
I put weedkiller on the patio a few days ago, doesn't seem to be working.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.15 -
Morning all. It's bright and sunny here and I have 2 loads of washing out on the line.
Saturday's wedding went extremely well and the bride's wider Hindu family complimented us on how well we fitted in. Lots of people there from Australia and various other countries so a real meeting of communities. Sunday morning we had a late check out so went for a walk through Hyde Park and down to the Royal Albert Hall, reliving old memories of when we used to take part in an annual folk dance event there.
Today I've weighed myself, and, whilst it isn't dreadful, I could do with losing up to a stone, so I'm going to make a real effort to get there. I get a bit complacent along the way and feel I've lost enough when I haven't so must get out of that mindset!
I hope everyone else has had a good weekend and Gers, you've reminded me to book my 2nd shingles vaccination later this month

Morning all, still a bit windy but looks sunny with white clouds so hopefully will get out for my walk. Thanks Gers , sometimes a day of sloth is needed! Scarlet- happy new tap dayRR hope your DM is ok now .AA lovely photo, glad you're enjoying trips in the new van.WL the wedding sounds great, glad it all went well.Remmie, it's such a tricky age for them , hope she's ok once back.DGS isn't back at school until tomorrow, but may still need picking up from his DMs for football training so not sure if we are doing that or DS.I can hear big noise coming from outside, sounds like roadworks, or maybe tree cutting on the main road.I've taken some meatballs out of the freezer for later. Hope you all have a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)13
