Too soon for Christmas booking?

We are planning to visit family in Beijing at Christmas. Is it too soon to book flights? Are they likely to go up from now on. Looking for return flights Premium economy to Beijing 18/12 - 1/1 or thereabouts. Cheapest I can see are about £1200.

If you have specific dates in mind why wouldn't you book now? Prices could rise, availability could be an issue if you kick the can down the road.0

Peak travel time, limited capacity, most flights released 3-4 months ago. It is a gamble but I suspect they are more likely to increase in price than decrease0
