Co-executor not communicating

Am in the situation where co-executor basically does not communicate. Has never responded to an email directly. Used to reply via WhatsApp but she appears to have blocked that and my phone number. Wont even provide her Date of Birth for IHT400 - and I need her signature on the form. Can I just submit with a note that she is refusing to cooperate? anything practical I can do?

Thanks

The only way you can submit the return without her is for her to hold her powers in reserve or renounce. If she won’t do that only a court can have her removed.

Thanks - what I suspected. Certain she wont renounce (and think she has intermeddled anyway). What a drag - dont ever put multiple executors in a Will!

From a previous post she has employed a solicitor, so contact them and tell them you are unable to proceed because their client is not cooperating.

Have just poked her solicitor again. It's now 3 weeks without a response to email sent to her and solicitor - she wont even provide her date of birth for the IHT400!

No - testator's common law partner. Been dragging on for 7 months now.

Sorry, missed this - the 2 executors are also the only beneficiaries
