Would a new supplier be best?
Options
Just come to end of 12 month fixed tariff. Considering July price cap wondering whether I should go with the following octopus offering:
Electricity Unit price - 27.93p Standing charge - 49.94p
Gas Unit price - 6.96p Standing charge - 31.38p
Annual usage electric is 1256 and gas is 10,030. combi boiler.
This is the variable tariff but these still seem higher than other suppliers.
Please advice.

However, others have reported that they've wobbled a bit recently, and their attempts to use AI with emails seem to have backfired. But still a million times better than the likes of British Gas etc.1 -
Why wouldn’t you go with the octopus fixed rate tariff? Lower price and zero penalty to exit. What’s the point of comparing the variable rates?1
