Parking fine or not?

Hi all and sorry but after so much reading I feel like I can't comprehend and understand anything, I'm very confused and English isn't my basic language.

So, my ex sent me a photo of this letter that I received at my old address. I haven't live too much at that address as soon as we bought the house through a mortgage we split up, I was the registered keeper of the car at that time but I was struggling with a place where to stay and live( I was and still I am on the mortgage title at that address) and I haven't change the address with DVLA and after I sold the car. Because the relationship between me and ex wasn't the best probably she "forgot" to keep up to date with other important letters received there so that's all I have at this moment regarding that parking issues.

I need to mention that I went into their website to try and find out more and apparently there are two parking charges recorded there. I tried to arrange a phone call on the website but nobody called me back, instead I've received a week or two later a text message( on the number that I've requested the callback) from trace debt recovery, saying, final demand to contact them and prevent my case to be passed to legal department.

Another maybe important thing is that the alliance parking isn't anymore in charge of that carpark now it is eternity and even now the only way to see important restrictions about using the carpark is to go into the carpark and read from not much further than half metre away from the few signs that they are around, so nothing that you will know before entering into the carpark ( a retail car park).
What should I do at this point?
Thank you.

Ignore it except for ONE THING:

Go on Alliance Parking's website and on Trace's website and look for their DPO contact on their 'privacy' pages. Contact both and show a utility bill for your new address and tell them both to only correspond with you at your current address and to erase the old address from their database. Make sure you also mention your vehicle numberplate and all references they give on their letters (ideally put those at the top in a heading), so they know which case it is.

If you move house again, do it again.

You MUST see and open every letter. If you ever get a Letter of Claim from a solicitor post here again.

Is your car logbook now showing your correct address? Check that too.

     :)

So are both pcns from when you were the registered keeper of the car?

Have you now notified the DVLA you sold the vehicle and able to provide the new keeper's name and address?

Stop communicating with Trace or any other debt collectors. Read NEWBIES thread 4th Post Debt Recovery Stage then in preparation the 2nd post Small Claim.

Hi , and thanks both for replying. Yes car is sold and the fine they where issued when I was registered user and using that car ( they are mine the fines) both around same time and for same thing, using the carpark between 22.00-6.00, just my ex sent me only a picture of one and sent that on WhatsApp, only find out that they are two when I went into the trace website. Car been sold and DVLA notified ( all good in that side) . For the last 2-3 years I do rent my own place and everything is registered on my name at this address and changed everywhere the address.

Looks like I'm getting lots of calls, SMS and voicemails from trace company and according to my ex I'm still getting letters over my old address.

Should I call or answer to trace company? If yes , what should I say?

    Thanks

Definitely not a fine.  Possibly a breach of an alleged contract.  Not payable unless a judge so orders.

It's just a scare tactic from Trace can't do anything as there is no debt only an alleged debt, if it goes to their "clients solicitor" Trace are out of the picture they get nothing.

Today I had another voicemail left from trace , they are keep calling, I'm worried if I will answer to one of their calls that I won't know what to say and say something wrong. As well, how would I know if they will take any court action if they still sent all correspondence to my old address and nothing over here as my relation with my is far from a good one and she isn't communicating with me very well.
