Morning all
I think it’s been raining in the night but it’s stopped now and we are meant to get up to 20 deg today, I am going to get in the garden later and do some tidying up and some dead heading.
Dd is ar work having done a sleep in but will be back for dinner later which will be a bbq I will make up some salads this morning, I think I will look for a different pasta salad to go with it.
I have a towel wash on the go and another to go in after hopefully they will dry well today, we need to do a bit of housework this morning as well.
Thank you all for the support for Rob yesterday I love that you are all so invested in his life, I had an email from the sw yesterday asking if I had been sent any money from the family to which I replied no and that he has no money at all now for next weeks activities, I also said that the family owe me nearly £180 for mileage and things I have paid for for him which is shocking, I can’t afford to pay anymore until I get some money back, I wouldn’t mind so much but it’s his money they are holding onto 😡
Camelot what a shame that the awful cousin and her son ruined the send off for your aunt, how nasty are some people xx
Nan I hope everything is ok xx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
I have been to Parkrun - it was hot but one of the lovely volunteers had a spray bottle and gave us a squirt as we ran past! Met a lady who was new so may have found a running buddy for next time 😊
My course yesterday was how to engage with those who have complex emotions/personality disorder. Was an interesting course and lots to take back to my role on Monday. I slept so well last night - brain overload!
So sorry to hear of nasty cousin and her son @camelot1001 - shame on them. Sending hugs x
Lovely that you have a good team at the CS @IzzyBee sounds like a right laugh.Hope everyone gets some sunshine today - we have left the grass throughout May so it’s time for a mow. I’ll do the edges as the petrol mower is too heavy for me.Have a good day all

@Izzy - such fun! The volunteers in my local places could do with an injection of happiness too.@Coxy - did you see that parkruns in France have stopped. '...the French authorities insisted that every person taking part in a “formal event” presented a medical certificate issued the prior week.' Typical French madness.@Ruby - fingers crossed that some money arrives soon. It's really so unfair of the family. The day has cleared up slightly, not enough for me to put any washing out, I don't have much so it can wait until next week. I've written two long emails which have been long-overdue so my guilt levels have lowered significantly. Now I'll watch a couple of things from my TV recorder which have also been hanging around too long.

Afternoon All
Late one from me. Been out to the butchers again this morning. We bought some minted lamb skewers yesterday and as they were so yummy I got some more for later.
Also just tested my new carpet cleanerv(Xmas present to myself last year)
It was very good but hadn't realised how dirty the carpet was eek)
Camelot sorry to hear about your badly behaved cousin what a dreadful thing to do. X
Izzy loved reading about the "models" x
RR hope the sw can sort out the money situation for you. As you say his family are acting badly the funds are meant for him. Is his mum home yet?
Gers lovely photo gorgeous colours
Also been wondering how nan is doing sending hugs x
Make the most of the lovely weather set yo change a bit here next week. DH very excited as some of his strawberries are going red. He says they taste very sweet.
Enjoy your weekend hugs to all who want them.

Well - the carpet cleaning was going great guns (done about half) until I had to empty the dirty water tank and the filter disintegrated.
Tbf, it was quite old! It does work without one but it's obviously there for a reason and I don't have a spare, so I've had to order a pack of two. They won't be here until later in the week so carpet cleaning is suspended for now. Bah. On the plus side, what I have done looks pretty good and while I've been waiting for it to dry the leather sofa has had a deep clean - wash, rinse, apply conditioning cream and buff. Heavens, it's getting more treatment than my skin does!
@RR - So sorry to hear the money situation for Rob still hasn't been resolved. Poor Rob. And poor you too - kind as you obviously are, you shouldn't have to be using your own money.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7
