ok
and I do this by email, not telephone? or both? they provided a number to contact them on by 23 July 2025 when the settlement offer expires0 -
Personally, I believe that you should phone them, speak to somebody who has the authority to deal with you, preferably has already been dealing with you, negotiate the settlement terms and conditions for both sides, get them to put it in writing, then settle if you are in full agreement2
-
I've not been speaking to anyone on the phone so far. I also don't have a particular person whom the letters I've received have been signed by.
I suspect the PCNs have only been wiped because I went to the letting agents and complained a number of times.
Do I still ask them to consolidate the PCNs - including the ghost PCN from 2022? They have not gotten back to me yet about that LBC which is for a different reason (not sure what exactly)
Edited to add: is the amount of money they've suggested sufficient (£90 per PCN)0 -
I believe that you should liaise with the person or entity or legal department offering the £90 per pcn and negotiate a suitable settlement1

Update: I tried to call them to claim my "settlement fee" it turns out this was rather UKCPM offering ME, to pay them £90 "as an act of goodwill".
I spoke to a highly incompetent customer agent with no legal training from BW Legal who basically said she can't do anything because it's from 'their client' not them. She mentioned to be that they also can't wipe my data because of GDPR, despite me quoting on multiple occasions that GDPR states the right to erasure, especially when data was collected on false pretences (i.e. I had the right to park there, evidenced by a paid for permit in a contract).
The advisor proceeded to inform me, I will "continue to receive calls (now they have my number) and mail from them until I pay", which I don't intend to. This is an easy dismissal in court to me.4 -
They are appalling aren't they.
This is your task for August:
Please read this message and do the Government's vital, current Public Consultation:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81552148/#Comment_81552148
It's vital the Government hears from people with unfair charges who are facing horrific, scary court claims.
The link shows the two vital points to concentrate on, IMHO:
- banning DRA fee add-ons completely
- making sure a new SINGLE appeals service replaces POPLA and the IAS which are seen as not fully independent and involved in a 'race to the bottom'.
Click through to the main thread about the Consultation, Do not be deterred by the fact that some questions are for the parking industry only.
We are discussing how to respond. The issues above are the IMPORTANT ones. Personally, mainly because it means the Code will come in quicker (no signs will have to be changed) I have no issue with PCs 'up to £100 cap' AS LONG AS DRA FEES ARE BANNED.
Please join us in doing this Consultation. This is your one chance to make a difference re the proper regulation of private parking. It is coming.
We need to drown out PPC World with our evidence.
