UK Parking Control

Hi All
A newbie to your site and hoping someone can provide some advice.
Yesterday (29.05.25) we received a Final reminder and a £100 charge for parking out of hours in a retail park (son eating takeaway and he says he did not see any warning signs as it was pitch black - no excuse i suppose!). Letter was dated 14.05.25. He went onto website to pay fine and it shows it is now £170 as has been passed to Debt recovery. This is the only letter we have received. I have tried with no success to contact UKPC. Is this something that we will have to pay or is there a way to contest it?
Thanks in advance.

Do not pay it
The keeper should follow plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by complaining about the PCN to the retail park management company to try to get it cancelled

He needs to learn that you don't pay these fake PCNs even at £100 or £60. They aren't fines and the industry is unregulated.
Which PPC?
Show him post 4 of NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST. The pictures of the daft threatograms that he obviously ignores totally (unless he moves house).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
