Estate agents closed

So, I had a discussion with my estate agents about us moving out before our contract ended - they were on board and said they would try to find new tenants. They have also been incredibly lazy with this (had to remind them to put an ad up for the property) This was back in march-/april.
Anyways, recently we just paid another month of rent even though we’ve moved out. But I looked them up and online it says they are permanently closed? Can I get my money back from them? Especially since we didn’t get any news or update about this
Any help would be greatly appreciated

So there lines and email still work, but online it says they’re permanently closed- so was confused but also wanted to see if there’s a way that legally says if they advertise themselves as closed- that they can’t legally take money? Idk if that makes any sense0

Ignore what google says re permanently closed. If they are available via phone and email they are obviously not closed.I would tell them i wont be paying any more money unless they are actively advertising.4

It could just be these premises are closed and they are working from elsewhere.1

Have you asked your landlord about the situation?1

Ultimately your contract is with the landlord. You still owe them the rent regardless of what happens to the agent, both for this month and future months until the end of the contract. So certainly no getting that back.
If you suspect the agent is closed, I'd contact the LL and confirm what they want you to do with the rent from next month - save the argument of you paying it to an agent who doesn't pass it on to the LL. Can also ask them for the same deal about finding a replacement tenant. However its not a right, so you're asking not demanding.
