It you close this account  early does the interest  get transferred with the amount  in the account  or does it get sent separately?

You are welcome.  Withdrawals from Principality accounts are always quick (including weekends), but have to be done before 3.30pm, otherwise the money will arrive the next business day.  Pre-arranged withdrawals (e.g. maturity instructions) normally arrive in the morning.

I've had a continuous membership for over 5 years, never had any problems with PBS and found them very efficient.  I wish they had an app, that would be the icing on the cake
