Hello I am new
my son found out he had a CCJ for a parking fine last week it happened a year ago when his ex borrowed his car with his permission he had moved out but let her use the car unfortunately he did not update the V5 and he moved home, he never received any paperwork car went back to the finance company and house was sold
he is in process of buying new flat has a good deposit earns well never had debt but mortgage offer now withdrawn
he has applied to have it set aside not disputing the fine but CCJ
question - he’s sent his application electronically and had confirmation and has paid the court fee could you tell me if he should also send hard copies etc or will court print them out
Does anyone win in these circumstances it just seems so ridiculous but life changing with long lasting implications he tried to get a solicitor to help him but no one was interested
apologies if there are answer to this somewhere else thank you

I think the best hope is to appeal to the company that applied for the CCJ.0

So he has put in his N244 and paid the fee?
I'd be willing to bet (because you didn't even discover the parking board until today) that he has not yet put in a decent Witness statement and evidence of moving house, or adduced the binding authority for parking CCJ cases: VCS v Carr?
He needs to read the thread by @Truss_me (that's a link to their posting profile & posts).
He will need a Witness Statement and/or skeleton argument to help the judge get this mandatory set aside right. Both are shown in that thread.

Thank you I think my son has missed the boat as he has already paid and sent his form and supporting documentation over electronically presuming he can’t alter it now that it’s already submitted. This is such a distressing situation, my question was should he send hard copies to the court not just a pdf thanks. Think he was so worried that he sent the form as quickly as he could to the court buthas still lost his mortgage offer0

His credit report will change to CCJ - satisfied.
Keep checking Experian etc. to make sure it gets updated, but will take at least a month.
He'll need a broker for his future mortgage application.0 -
If its paid off the CCJ marker will still remain for 6 years - all be it marked as satisfied but it will continue to have a negaitive effect for that time. Its important not to panic once a CCJ has been discovered and make a rash decision such as paying it off.Do you have any information relating to the original private parking charge notice, such as the location, the reason why it was issued and the name of the parking company?Personally, depending upon the answer to the above, I would be looking at raising merry hell with the landowner over the actions of their un regualted agentsFrom the Plain Language Commission:

As far as I know it was in Dunstable in a NCP car park his ex was driving she parked on a hatched square. The company is moorside legal0
