Clubcard Challenges

I only found out by accident towards the end of last year that if you fully complete all 10 challenges, your points total automatically increases to the £50 they claim in their "Up to £50" banner. Which made my 4p shortfall in the preceding challenge even more annoying… it didn't bother me too much at the time, but knowing it would have made the difference between the £25-odd worth of points I did get, and the £50 I would have got, made me determined it wouldn't happen again!!
The last Challenge was a strange one for me, if I'd hit all 10 targets I would have collected £62 worth of points… so would that have actually reduced to £50? All academic in the end, as many of the targets were too high for me. Perhaps my two consecutive £50 successes previously had upset them…
Anyway, this time around they seem to have gone to the other extreme, with a lot of low-ish spend totals on things I regularly buy, so assuming the £50 'top-up' is still a thing then it should be an easy one. The 'Food to Go' one was a bit of an outlier though, with a £98 target… that's an awful lot of meal deals!

They genuinely are tailored then. Mine is £86. Interesting to see which products appear on multiple challenges. Might just need to live off ginsters for a month!

Sounds like you must be eggstra special 😀

This happened to me with the last set of challenges as well. I didn't end up completing any of them because they increased the spending threshold so high. I've just seen they've restarted for me again and once again, they're almost insanely high. I've been having much better success with the Morrisons More Card points. I've already gotten loads of £5 vouchers this month from their points system.

How do you access the challenges? Are they in the app? Or emailed?
I don't seem to get emails from Tesco even though I've changed the settings to receive them.

You are selected so receive an e-mail. Once you are one of the chosen ones though it seems you can just bookmark the link and keep on going rather than be selected for each challenge. Last one I had a "not selected" message on the page but that changed.

Just did my first shop of these challenges. I might just about manage 2000 points. Much will depend on if I stock up on items like tinned tomatoes.
It's what I ended up doing last time. Fingers crossed.

Racing ahead with the grand total of ........ 50 points so far. Will easily get to 180 but anything more than that will be, er, a challenge

I've not got any points yet! Hopefully today's shop will see a few tomorrow.....but not many!

This round of CC Challenges seems to have been set to actually avoid any points actually being earned - the thresholds are absurdly high. For example, on "food to go" (i.e. lunch meal deals), the threshold is £105 to get points. At £3.85 per lunch, that is 28 lunches which is a lot in a cycle that only runs for just over a month and I am not going to get a meal deal lunch unless I am actually out at work and, even then, not from Tesco every day.
