Good morning @Gers 😊
I’m on a training course today so have a slower start this morning. Just thinking about what to take for a packed lunch.DH is out tonight but DS2 is unexpectedly here, so I’ll stretch the salmon we are planning for tea 😊
Have a good day all

Thanks for the start Gers
Off away for a couple of nights in my campervan - just to Gloucestershire for some peace and quiet. The way I feel I’d like to sleep all weekend but in reality I’ll do some walking and reading too. Forecast is good so should be a nice short break before the last slog of exams and college before the summer.Hope everyone enjoys their end of the week

Enjoy the training course@Coxy, if that's possible! It's a very dreich morning here, overnight rain staying longer than welcome and low grey clouds. Same as yesterday. The drive down to Campbeltown and back was fine, no great views as both Jura and Islay were semi-shrouded and the sea was grey. Still, it was good to be out. One and a half hours there, ten minutes with the audio-technician and one and a half hours back.
I tried to stop at a great wee cafe / garden centre / post office on the way back but it's on a tiny road with no parking and there were cars everywhere so I didn't bother. It was to be expected.
This morning I'm meeting an acquaintance for coffee and chat, then I'll head away to find another post office which isn't north of me. I've got the BT router to return, it's sitting in my car annoying me.I hope that everyone has a good end to the week and that the sun shines somewhere. Hugs to all.PS - any sighting of Nan recently?14 -
Good morning all from Mehefinland. A sunny morning and the wind has dropped a bit.
I was touched by all your comments and concern re my lack of sleep. Thank you, and be assured I have caught up (a little).Still not sleeping well, and I can't say why -just one of those things.
My poor roses took a beating in the wind so need to give them some care today. The clematis is going great guns though. You can see all the pine needles on the floor which have blown off. The back lawn is carpeted, so it will be a mower day later, just to pick them up
Can't resize the picture so sorry if its a a bit big
Hugs and spoons Mehefin

Morning all. The sun's shining here.
DH has just set off to drive down to London and help with moving boxes of wine etc from the engaged couple's flat to the wedding venue, ready for tomorrow. DD and I will take the boys to our hotel after lunch and hopefully DS will be able to join us there for a meal tonight. Future daughter in law is spending tonight at her parents house. Fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow; it's going to be a long day!
Other than that I can potter around the house this morning before DD comes to collect me.
Have a super weekend everyone.15 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another rainy night, lingering on a bit too, but now looks to have stopped - for now! A small bonus though is that it is going to be a bit warmer.
I have just attempted the end of month banking but given it up as I can't see well enough. Not even when comp is on zoom. So that will have to wait for now. I am really fed up of this poor vision now and there is no end in sight yet. I have the check up of the right eye on the 10th June and then I expect they will give me a date for the left eye doing. It can't be soon enough - this from the erstwhile wimp with an eye phobia!
I have the excitement of the Friday Tidy in store. I hope I can get moving a bit faster than yesterday when I had a serious lack of motivation. Half the morning had gone before I got myself moving. Must do better today.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need, Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning al! Sunny! Plans for today are a phone call from the DWP, they want to check I'm not a millionaire and haven't told them [I'm not], finishing the frame of the greenhouse [ if it's not too hot] and planting out the beans at the allotment [ ditto] . Of course ,all plans subject to change depending. Cupboards have been rejigged and freezer is next, haven't done any real cooking for a while so I'll look and see what I can batch up for the weekend - maybe even make some bean burgers [ thanks TTB !] We have such varied meal times and sometimes I'm or he's just hungry NOW so if its ready, it's easier isn't it? My usual fall back is a tin of tuna and some rice noodles but not for himIzzy, well that sounded like a combination of fantastic and fraught holiday! No more boats unless it's a lovely big cruise next time
WL, hope it all goes well this weekend. camelot, hope it all went ok without drama. Gers, where you live sounds so lovely, with all your little nooks and crannies. TA, fingers crossed for rapid response, look at you now, steaming ahead! Nanny, hope everything is ok. Allie, have a lovely weekend, you won't be that far from me..Well done on campervan curtans too, it's such a ball ache getting the right size...Ruby, hope Robs doc appointment went ok. Funny, I feel very invested in how it turns out for him considering I don't know him and never met him, I'd like him to at least have a better time now than he's had so far now he's somewhere that's more stimulating. Yorkslass, hope the end is in sight! decorating wise I mean...Right, I'm off to have some breakfast, take care all!
