Check a Will has been executed correctly

Options
My grandfather passed away in 2022 with the probate date later that same year, but I am not convinced his will was carried out to his wishes. I am unfortunately not on speaking terms with my parents who were the executors. I there anyway I can see a copy of the will, and if so do the executors find out I am looking. Thanks

you can get a copy of the will for £1.50 and no-one will be told that you have got a copy of it. https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/

Just to say a lot of people think they might have been left something in a will when in fact they haven't and it was just "talk" at some point

Thank you, absolutely understand that nothing may have been left to grandchildren, but for my own peace of mind I just would like to check.

After requesting a copy I am only seeing the Grant of Probate with the Will having no link attached.

The grant wording is "The Last Will and Testament of ......... (an official copy is available from the court)", could someone tell me what this means please.

It means they failed to attach that document properly...  Email them.
But note, seeing the will doesn't tell you how the executors performed their duties, you'd need estate accounts for that, and unless you are a residual beneficiary you aren't entited to see those.

Ok when you applied to the probate service you will have been given to links to download.  One the grant which you have mentioned and another which is the will.  (see image)  The part in brackets is what you must do to get a stamped, confirmed original should you need it for legal reasons.

    Email them.

I was "sent" a will belonging to the wrong person. Plainly they'd attached the wrong file. They did remedy the situation, but didn't bother telling me when they did it. It was only when I got the reminder that it was about to time out that I checked before complaining again, and the correct will was there.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

That would suggest there is no will and the grant should say letters of admon not the attached will.

Use the link (the envelope in the image i shared) that came with the order and explain that there is supposed to be a will however there is no download from the will download link.  This is something new and its annoying.  Until probably a month ago you would be sent a scanned page saying
"Thank you for downloading a copy of the Grant of Letters of Administration from our records. We are unable to provide you with a copy of a will for the deceased The reason for this is that the Grant that issued in this case is a Grant of Letters of Administration. This is a legal document issued by a Probate Registry when a person has died without making a valid will (called intestate) and is issued to an administrator of the estate. This is usually the lawful spouse if any, or nearest blood relative."

    Good luck
