Non dependent pip tribunal win/housing costs

Can someone tell me as my non dependent daughter has won her pip tribunal (after waiting 18 months to be heard) and is no longer expected to pay towards housing costs, will I receive backdated housing costs from when she first put in the claim for pip or will universal credit expect her to pay me it when she receives her backdated pip money? I’m the one claiming universal credit and she’s my non dependent who lives at home. Hope that all makes sense!

You should request she pay you back out of her back payment.

Not sure PIP will pay as housing as that is nothing to do with them.
Best add a journal note & see what UC say.
But as a non dependent why was it effecting housing costs via UC?

Because there is a housing element deduction for non dependents but now she has won the pip tribunal the housing element deduction will be removed as she is not expected to contribute. So for the last 18 months they have reduced my universal credit as she was expected to contribute.
i’m not expecting pip to refund housing element I want to know if universal credit will refund what they deducted.

I don’t see why she would need to pay it from her PIP, because that’s to do with the extra cost of disability not to do with housing costs.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

OP has a non-dependant deduction from their Housing Element of UC because daughter still lives at property. If the daughter now has a daily living component of PIP  (OP doesn't state the PIP award)  then there isn't a deduction.
OP need to inform UC if it is a daily care award as the claim will have to be recalculated from date of PIP award.

OP, you’ll need to update as follows:

Home - Report a change - Children & Other People who live with you - Enter Date of Change as Start Date of Daughter’s PIP award - Click “Change” next to Daughter’s name - Re-enter Daughter’s details, selecting Yes to the question about whether they receive PIP.

Once this is verified (should be nice and quick) the Housing Costs Contribution previously applied to your Housing Element will be “refunded” as an Underpayment.

Please be aware that if you have a managed payment to landlord in place, this Underpayment will be paid to your Landlord.
