Morning all from a horribly rainy Gers Towers. Yesterday I took a gamble on the weather and put on the washing load when I got home. The gamble paid off as it dried beautifully - a combination of lots of sun and the high winds had it all dancing around on the whirly. Happy day.Last week I rang our audiology department about my hearing aid as it needs a wee tweak. Yesterday the technician rang me to offer me a cancellation today in Campbeltown which I grabbed. It's a trek and a half but I have nothing pressing for my time so I'll be off soon. The usual lovely drive down won't be too lovely but should be brilliant when on the way back when the rain and mist has cleared.Great news @TA. Must dash, sorry. Hugs to all.13

A belated good morning from me and thanks for the start @Scarlet. Yesterday the weather turned out to be much better than expected but the rain returned overnight and looks set to be with us for the day along with the chilly wind. Only a couple of days to go before meteorological summer arrives and it's not looking promising.
Three ticks on yesterday's To Do list - light fitting cleaned, photo wall done (it was me @Rosy) and new e-script ordered. I didn't manage to get out for a walk, time ran away. All in all, a satisfying day that was finished off with an enjoyable TV hour last night when I joined David Suchet on his Agatha Christie 1922 world tour recreation. This time he was in Australia.
I don't think I'll be be as industrious today; I slept well enough but am feeling a bit wiped out (not ill, just CBA) so gentle pottering will be the order of the day. There are plenty of those little five minute jobs that always get overlooked to do so I'll not be completely idle! I've just had a cheese & ham toastie (brunch, as I was up late) and tonight's tea is corned beef hash with a side of broccoli and fruit for afters.
@SO - I hope you don't get caught in the rain on your walk - there's always the coffee afterwards to look forward to!
@TA - Good to hear your DF's DS appears to be making progress, it will be a long slog for him.
@Gers - Glad you decided to take up the cancellation slot so you can get your hearing aid tweaked.
Time to pick which of the five minute jobs to tackle first - such decisions!Take care and enjoy your day. Hugs as usual. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Hello everyone
I'm late today - had to go for some shopping this morning, mainly bread and fruit, I have a 'proper' shop coming from Tesco on Saturday morning. Also called in at mam and dads for a cuppa. Then I met a friend for a very nice lunch and later popped across the road to another friends for another cuppa...a very lazy afternoon!
Little one and I had a lovely afternoon at Alnwick Castle on Tuesday and then spent an hour or so with my auntie, which we all enjoyed. She's moving down south to live near her daughter soon, it felt strange saying goodbye.
Tomorrow I'm taking little one to Edinburgh for her play therapy appointment, as DD has an appointment too...little one has drawn me a map!
The half term holiday seems to have gone very fast...never mind it will only be 7 weeks till we break up again!
Right I'm going to get washed up then have a shower x
