Morning again, still raining here, we need it though.
Hope you enjoy your walk SO.
Did you have a better night last night Mehefin, hope so or you'll be on your knees today!
Camelot, hope the funeral goes as well as these occasions can, and that you have a safe journey home.
Glad you enjoyed the cruise Izzy, but sorry about the sea sickness, it's awful.
We once went to Jersey by sea from Weymouth - what a terrible night it was, we both felt so ill.
Hoping you enjoyed the film themsthebreaks.
Spent yesterday morning putting more plants in various containers, it'll look nice I think.
Going with Dh to the hearing aid clinic this morning. While he's in there I'll go into a big Home Ba*gains that's nearby, and I'll visit my old friend up the road this afternoon.
That's about it for today, hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for starting us off. More rain fell through the night with more forecast on and off throughout the day. I know we all needed it but I'm getting a bit fed up of it now! I finally get into gear and caught the bus down into town yesterday but by heck there was a sneaky cold wind blowing.
REDRUBY, it was nice of you to ask about DF's DS. He is doing remarkably well, they are pleased with his progress. He was moved from intensive care at the w/e onto a ward and DF is still sending me daily bulletins. He still has numerous drains etc in but some now removed. A speech therapist is teaching him how to talk again. Still being tube fed but was tried on soup and jelly yesterday. He has lost a lot of weight so a dietician now visiting. So it's now onwards and upwards.
No fixed plans for today but the usual pre Friday tidy of kitchen and bathroom is in store. The tall freezer is looking long overdue a defrost so that may, or may not, get done today! I hate that job. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for those in want or need. Take care all, stay safe xx

No idea if/when I posted this week. Finished up feeling completely exhausted for a couple of days - combination of work last week and visitor at the weekend I think.Have managed to make 3/5 pairs of curtains for the campervan - not 100% satisfied with them but already fed up of making the. - might tweak them in the winter!Very windy here which won’t please Bdog!, the rain has been welcomed by the garden but now everything is growing like mad.Take care all

Mehefin I hope you have managed to get some sleep it’s awful when sleep will just not come I’ve always been a poor sleeper and when I have bad spells it effects every part of your day . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Good morning 😊
This rain seems to be doing the rounds. The washing didn’t manage to stay on the line yesterday because of it, so that’s now finishing off indoors. It should be dry before we start the weekend load. Let’s hope the weather is better by then.
We went to see Thunderbolts yesterday. I didn’t think it was my type of film, but I enjoyed it. On the way back, we picked up a couple of TGTG bags. These can be hit and miss, but what we can’t make use of, our neighbour appreciates. Yesterday’s fare was half and half, so I will visit J this morning with her goodies.
This afternoon, I will venture to the market, as I need some vegetables. I have written a list, and aim to stick to it, so it shouldn’t be too expensive. The trouble with these places, is they always have tempting offers, then you end up spending more than you planned. I think I just need enough for a few days as I signed up for a local food pantry yesterday. This costs £5 a week, and there is always free fresh veg, apparently. I suppose though, it will depend what they have, and how many people use the service. I will find out on Tuesday what it’s like, and whether or not it’s worth going to.
Tonight we are having sausages - chicken for the meat eaters, mushroom for myself - mashed potatoes, and fried cabbage and onion, with onion gravy on top. One of the best things I bought, was a potato ricer. It makes perfect mash, and with a vegan garlic butter added to it, tastes amazing.
I want to give the dining room a going over, but time constraints may put a stop to that. I will see how the day goes, and how long I am with my neighbour for, as we do like a good natter.
Hope you all have a good day 😊13 -
Morning all, thanks Scarlet - raining here too. It turned out quite pleasant in the afternoon yesterday.Camelot hope all goes well today .Izzy - just read about your trip, what a shame you felt so wobbly. Travel sickness is horrible, I always used to have to take tablets for long journeys. Can't remember who said they were doing a photo wall, but I'm in the middle of doing the same. Already compiled one of the dogs we've had over the years with Ly1a taking centre stage but now going through old photos deciding which family ones to useWe are off to M/cr on the train later to meet up with friends, organised weeks ago but we are eating at a Greek restaurant
, only just got used to English food again after our hols!
Food delivery imminent, better go, take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)13
