my energy supplier is telling me after two years that my meter was registered incorrectly ,and they have now back billed me for the two years ,even though I have been submitting day and night meter readings (r1 & r2). They tell me that my meter is a single point meter 5235A and they cannot or more to the point are not willing to put a request to ecoes to get the meter reregistered correctly .Also in this process have taken approx £1000 credit off my account 7 days ago.
Response has been little or none from supplier ,at one point telling me I only had to submit the r1 night reading to keep my account on track .

Raise a complaint, and if they won't budge, get a deadlock letter and take your case to the energy ombudsman.

    Welcome to the forum.
I'm confused.  If it's an Ampy / Landis + Gyr 5235A meter it's single rate.  However, you state that you have been submitting day and night meter readings (r1 & r2)?

Have they been billing for both Day and Night consumption?

So which meter do you actually have?
Either they are wrong about the meter or you've somehow been extracting two readings from a single-rate meter...?

A photo of the meter might help? And of any associated wiring & electrical gubbins?
