in Parking tickets, fines & parking

I have received a letter of claim from bw legal in relation to 2 parking charges £170 each!

I do have a defence against why the parking tickets occurred. 

From looking at the newbie forum I want to make sure I am understanding the procces correctly. 

Do I just reply using the provided template and not include any other info regarding my defence? Then if a court claim is issued I then file my defence?
