Passport check for trip to Mexico

With so many people getting caught up with passport expiry dates, I just wanted to double check that my passport will be valid for a trip to Mexico.

I am going to Mexico (Play Del Carmen) from 1st November 2025 to 11th November 2025.

My passport dates are:

Date of issue: 24th November 2016
Date of expirty: 24th November 2026

So presumably my passport will be valid for this trip as it will have just over 1 year remaining when I return ?

    https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/mexico/entry-requirements

Your passport must be valid for 180 days from the date of entry so yes, you have no issues based on your statement.

Now here's hoping you haven't booked AI and will spend time outside of the hotel!

I have booked AI just for the convenience and not having to worry about spending money, but I will be spending time outside the hotel which is why I chose Playa Del Carmen. Unlike when I went to Dominican Republic where we were stuck in the hotel which I didn’t like !

Have spent years in Mexico, vastly cheaper and tastier outside of the hotels but enjoy your trip and save money next time

I came back from Mexico City yesterday. We spent some time in San Miguel de Allende which is a lovely spot.

Lovely country. Hope you enjoy it.

Try this - you don't need to be a TUI client.

A very strange omission, Mexico is a popular TUI destination.
