Funnily enough I have a question about this exact same form
The deceased had a state pension and two annuities from insurance companies which paid so much a month but obviously ended aafterdeath. He always called them 'pensions'

Do these need to be listed on form IHT409?
That was where I got caught out, but what HMRC are actually interested in is pension payments that continue after the date of death. In my case, there was an overpayment of pension (local authority) which will need to be repaid from the estate in due course.
It sounds like your answer to the first question will be the same as mine - "No", and then proceed to the rest of the questions as instructed on the form.
