About the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship

The BTCC is the UK's premier touring car championship, featuring some of the best drivers and teams in the country. Thruxton, known for its fast and flowing circuit, provides an excellent backdrop for the high-octane racing action.

Visitors will witness thrilling wheel-to-wheel racing and a lively atmosphere that is sure to keep everyone on the edge of their seats. In addition to the racing, there are also plenty of off-track family-friendly entertainment, food and drink stalls, live music, a bustling trade village, and other activities to enjoy throughout the day.

Don’t miss the action from a range of support races including: British F4, The MINI CHALLENGE Trophy, and Porsche Carrera Cup GB.

If you don’t fancy taking the wheel yourself or don’t hold a full driving licence yet, a passenger driving experience at Thruxton Circuit is the perfect way to experience speed and the excitement of track driving.

About Thruxton Circuit

Thruxton circuit is the fastest in the country with legendary high-speed corners and a reputation as a real driver's circuit. It is also one of the longest in the UK at 2.4 miles per lap.

Like many race circuits, Thruxton was originally a wartime airfield. Commissioned in 1941 the airfield was host to both the RAF and USAF and played a major part in the D-Day landings.

Thruxton has seen many recent Formula 1 drivers race regularly at the track at some time in their career. In 1993 Damon Hill (Formula One World Drivers Champion 1996) drove a demonstration run in the Williams FW15C, recording an incredible 57.6-second lap of the 2.4-mile circuit - the unofficial all-time track record. It is now the high-speed rounds of the British Touring car championship and superbikes that regularly bring in capacity crowds.
