I suggest you send this to the ICO, who deal with data handling breaches of the GDPR. Oakbrook should have replied in 30 days.

I have found my original documents with Oak brook loans it took some digging in emails, paper work and they had me down originally as Mr Todd - I am wondering now what to do ? do I ring them and tell they have my name wrong.0

Legally it may not wash with a court, but messing with a debt collectors head is fair game in my book, obviously if it got to the point of a court claim, a different approach may be advised, but until/unless that happens, use it to your advantage.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
