DCB LEGAL - After LOC Response - Live Abroad

Options
Hello,

On March 20, 2025 I received a Letter of Claim from DCB Legal on behalf of G24 for an unpaid parking charge for 'Exceeding the Maximum Duration of Stay' in October 2019.

On April 19th, I replied to the info@dcb address with the forum's full recommended letter, requesting the 30 day hold for debt advice etc.

I ALSO included my updated address - which is abroad - I am no longer UK based. (I was able to get the LOC through a mail forwarding service.)

On May 14th, I received a reply email from a member of their team - not Sarah Ensall.

They have given me 30 days to respond to their email, which states - "In order to review the matter further, please provide evidence that you no longer reside in the UK"

How should I proceed? What 'evidence' should I give them? (I would like to give them as little as possible!) What will happen next, once it is confirmed that I am abroad?

Thanks so much for your help and this very informative forum.

Give them quite a bit: utility bill, redacted Visa?

That's what the person who lives in Porto did last month. Search the forum for what he did.

You need to end any possibility of a claim. Your evidence will end it.

Hello, Thanks for your help @Coupon-mad. I sent them a copy of my local driver's license, credit card statement and last year's Tax Return (all redacted.) Reiterating that I needed them to erase all other addresses.

It took a little while to come through but I can confirm I received the following email response from DCB Legal:

"DCB Legal acknowledges the evidence you have provided.

Our Client has instructed to close our file and no further action will be taken in relation to this matter by this office.

     DCB Legal's file is closed."

    Woo hoo!

I notice they haven't confirmed my details will be 'erased' - does this matter or is this sufficient to accept I'm in the clear?

    Thanks again!

Email the DPO of the parking firm now and get them to confirm that THEY have erased your UK address and cancelled the PCN.
