I have an old computer running 7 for a pile of disc games I still have not played, but disabled it by spilling coffee on the keyboard, so it's controller or mouse only. This and one which died have been replaced by two Asus gaming machines; the newer already on 11 and this slightly older on 10, which I wanted to keep. I was very careful to avoid the sneaky dots offering updates and 11, but one day, I left the machine switched on for about 5 minutes and the Microsoft gremlins sneaked in and did the swap.

My problem now is that I can't transfer photos of required documents from my Panasonic camera to my Asus ROGs. I used to just connect my camera to my old Medion machines, via USB, with no trouble, but these Asus machines don't recognise the camera and the online help is all for phone to pc (I hate phone photos ) , while a YouTube video by a Panasonic tech complicates possibly useful information by going on about networking, but I don't need a network.

You should start your own thread for this so others can properly give advice

However, have you tried buying a card reader. They're cheap enough and will be recognised by Windows. I'm surprised it doesn't pick up your camera, though

I do hate having to use icons as on a smartphone. I recognise text, but have great trouble finding what I want with icons, so I reduce the number.
Having a desktop where there is text under the icons rather than on them seems to make it easier. :/

Thanks, Vitor - that's useful. I'll check it out.
(I really do not like it as current )
