Parking Charge ALDI Cheam

I’m in the process of complaining to ALDI about a parking charge I received as the registered keeper of a vehicle.
The ALDI website says that in the event of being charged for parking, send them copies of the receipt and parking charge and they will make it right:
My complaint to ALDI referenced this, but they don’t seem to be adhering to this, as I was told they’re not the landowner and to take it up with ParkingEye.
Their website says nothing about them needing to be the landowner. Is there any legal requirement for them to cancel the charge, given what they publish on their website?

I just telephoned Aldi's Car Park Management Department on 0800 O42 0800 and my parking charge was resolved. This was having 'googled' it and following the advice here.

Is this a standalone Aldi store with its own car park, or is the store one of a group of retailers (retail park?) with a shared car parking facility?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. So I called the number as suggested and was told that ALDI would normally waive the parking charge but they can’t for this particular store because they don’t have access to it on the PE system. Was told to contact PE and if they reject, then ALDI will appeal it - on further questioning I was told they would then waive it.
The original parking charge was received through the post. Should I wait until day 25/26 to start the appeal process with PE, or should I do that sooner?0 -
