Changing from Sky broadband?

I've just received notice from Sky that my contract is coming to an end and that my existing package will rise substantially.
I'm willing to change from Sky to another provider but my main concern is my email address which is .........@sky.com
If I leave Sky? what happens to my email address? do I have to notify every one that I have a new email address? this is the aspect which has kept me with Sky for the last few years despite the increasing charges.
Can any one help please, I'm tech savvy in some aspects but I'm not sure about my email address and use if I change.
It's a very important part of my life particularly with regard to finance.
Thank you.

Mr Google says,Sky allows you to keep your email address after you cancel your broadband, with no time limit or charge, as long as you continue to use it. Sky will close your email account if it is inactive for a prolonged period, so make sure to log in regularly.

Never rely on ISP provided email addresses, they can and do change the rules.
Virgin have recently been closing accounts of former customers with a lot of people missing the warning communication too, they binned emails from VM because they no longer had a TV/internet account, D'oh!
Time to bite the bullet and get an account elsewhere.2 -

There should be an option with your SKY mail to export contacts to new provider.1

The op will have to make sure all contacts that use the ISP email address are updated the new one .
I have a sky email address and they use Yahoo and I think you have to log in every so often or the email address is closed.
I use Yahoo app to check every day but once a month I use my pc to sign into Sky account and that takes me to Yahoo email and once after using the app for 2 to 3 months with out logging into Sky I got a reminder that my email account will be closed due to inactivity so just beware but as mentioned before the rules can change.2 -
It would seem that the only safe way is to open a Gmail ISP and transfer existing sky email contacts to it.0

I used to get services and email account from long gone company Onetel and TalkTalk took over their customer base. I left soon after and we are talking 20 years ago.
I've just tried my onetel email and it is still functions. Only emails from TalkTalk there !0 -
