Cost of skimming a small 3-bed bungalow?

I'm buying a 3-bed detached bungalow that hasn't been updated for good 20-25 years and most walls are covered in wallpapers.

I imagine I would need to get all rooms (and Artex ceiling) skimmed after I remove the wallpaper.

How much would be an appropriate quote for a job like this in the North West? The house itself is about 90 m2.

I paid £550 for 1 room walls and artex ceiling skim, total floor area 9 m2.  1980s house all block walls, south east.

Similar ball park as jonny.  Hopefully you'd have some economies of scale.

If you're careful/lucky the walls might be OK.  One of our room's walls were fine, a bit of filling and sanding needed that I did.

As shiny days, don't assume the walls will need skimming. The artex ceiling, tho', yeah
You cannot (well, shouldn't) skim over paper anyway, so it's going to have to come off regardless. Once it's been thoroughly cleaned of all trace of paste*, a mist coat of emulsion will tell you what state it's in.
A large sanding block on a long handle should get most blemishes evenly removed. Wee dinks can be easily filled.

    * Yes, there are sealing coatings you can apply, but much better to properly clean it - lots of wiping with wet/damp cloths, even gentle use of steamer - and then lightly sand the whole surface when fully dry.

As above but before skimming have the electrics checked and add any extra sockets you want.

X-Tex is effective for removing artex (just test for asbestos first). Skimming over artex is not always successful especially if the artex has been put over distemper - Had artex on one ceiling here that could be peeled off in big chunks. Skimming would have been a total disaster.

For walls with a lot of hairline cracks & dints, a thick lining paper will cover them. Put up lining paper, leaving a ~1mm gap between each drop. A thin smear of thinned down filler in the gap, and then lightly sanded. You now have a near perfect base to paint on to.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
