Tying 2nd bell wire onto existing bell wire

I've got a 15m long telephone extension wire attached along the top of a skirting board and up and around 2 door frames, held in place with 'bell wire clips' (see photos). I now want to add a second such 15m wire (actually an ADSL cable) along the same route without removing the phone extension wire. I thought the easiest way would be to attach the new wire onto the existing wire so I wouldn't have to hammer in any more bell wire clips. Can anybody advise the best way to do it - I can only think of using cable ties to tie the 2 wires together, if I can find any small enough which can be pulled suitable tight? Thanks.

Have you considered getting a smartphone? No wires. You can make calls through your broadband router using 'wifi calling'.

You could use dabs of hot melt glue to attach the new cable to the old one at intervals? Depending on how you are with a glue gun, this could be quicker and tidier than cable ties?

I'll second that suggestion of glue.

Come to think of it, how many spare cores are there in the existing cable?

I'd just use more cable clips. I don't think glue or cable ties would look any better.

    Thanks for all replies.
The glue idea sounds like it would be worth trying. Using more clips might also be just as unobtrusive and a bit less fiddly. I'll probably have to experiment to see what's best (and then end up abandoning the ADSL cable idea, knowing me).
