Quick ISA question - how long is the 'year'?

Will be opening an ISA at the end of next month - there are some which give a 'bonus' rate for a year of an extra 1% or so, but I guess this question relates to all ISAs - if I open it and put the money in at the very start of July is the money tied into the account for a calendar year or until the start of the next financial year that the ISA limits apply to? In other words, would I be looking at moving it etc in April or July of next year?
A simple question but always want to make sure I know exactly what is going to happen!

The bonus will last a calendar year.
Tax year start/end is not relevant.1 -

The tax year is irrelevant .
it could be exactly 12 months , or in some case can be slightly longer.
You need to read the T’s & C’s if the account you are interested in1 -

It will either be a year - i.e. if you open an account on 1st July, it will mature on 30th June. Or the product might have an actual maturity date, so might be slightly more or less than a year. You need to read the T&Cs.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0
