Hi wondering if anyone can shed any light on my situation. I started to be paid UC at the beginning of  April of 210 pounds pm because i am in the support group of new style esa.

The second payment beginning of May was for 499 pounds saying that my average income ( ESA) was half that of what the April statement said despte the same amounts of ESA payments.

The trouble wth all this is, that i cant make arranegments to pay people if i dont know what the right amount is supposed to be.

As far as i am aware , it is 210 pounds only and 499 pounds just seems like an odd number out of the blue ( it has had 14.50 deducted for an advance payment) . The statement says it deducted 295.33 because it is an average. Its not, i received two payments of ESA in April.

I dont want to commit to making payments to people then the dwp say ive bene overpaid and will only get 100 .

The benefits system is a mess. I cant work out whats going out because i cant work out with certainty what is coming in. Its making a bad situation worse because its making me sick with worry

This is a bug due to the ESA rate changing in April. I was affected last year. I've seen others affected this year.

You need to add a Journal note (using the payment option) stating you were overpaid this month due to an incorrect ESA deduction.
They will take care of it.

When sorted they will add a letter onto your Journal stating the amount of overpayment, along with repayment options.
