Domestic irrigation question ; tap timer and supply pipe
Options
I’m setting up a system. Tap timer, 14mm supply pipe going to various zones.
rather than fitting tap timers at garden tap I’d like to run the supply pipe first then have timers attached to different zones once I tee off the supply pipe.
so my question is if this is possible? Do the timers need connection at mains tap? Or can they be slotted in between 14mm supply pipe?

Which timers?

The only issue I can see other than additional cost of adapters which is probably minimal is if the pipe to the
timer fails. Water will keep running where the timer on the tap will cut it off for a period of time.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I haven't seen a timer that will take 14mm pipe as the input - they all have a screw connection for a tap. That doesn't mean they don't exist or that you could bodge one to fit0
