Barclays Sign-Up Bonus Eligibility

I've never had a switch bonus from Barclays but currently have an active premier account.

I'm wondering if i were to close the account would I become eligible for the 25k avios sign-up offer again? Has anyone gone down this route?

The terms all seem to refer to "opening your first Barclays current account" but don't know how that is interpreted if you closed all accounts previously

I recently tried to open a Barclays current account, I had last held one in 2023. So two years ago and they could see the old account.
