This wonderful book is the culmination of a Friends of the South Downs’ project working with school children to stimulate a love and appreciation of the South Downs. It contains photographs, poems and essays from the children the organisation worked with during the South Downs for All Schools initiative. The children photographed the downland landscape under the influence of the four seasons, from snow dusted hill tops, through bluebell woods in spring, to summer wheat fields and the red and golden leaves of autumn. It also includes photographs of activities such as the World Marbles Championship at Tinsley Green at Easter, through to Lewes Bonfire celebrations in November. www.friendsofthesouthdowns.org.uk
