Chasing vendor's solicitors

Hi all, just after a bit of advice and having a bit of a vent! Has anyone got any tips on how to speed up our vendor's solicitor? We are in the process of selling to a FTB (good communication) and purchasing from a couple where the onward chain ends with their purchase. Our solicitor is great at communication and chasing, our estate agent is great, the vendor's estate agent is great and apparently they are really keen to get this done asap (they have expressed they wish to complete by the end of June), but no one can seem to get any updates at all from their solicitor! Ours is actively chasing, their estate agent is chasing but just no response. I have heard nothing but bad about the firm they are using, it is just so frustrating! Sorry I am venting, has anyone got any tips (I know I can't contact their solicitor directly) or just any advice on how to stay sane in this process? Thanks so much

Either your solicitor chases their solicitor or the vendors chase their solicitor. You can't do it yourself.Sometimes it is the solicitors being slow, sometimes it is actually the client dragging heels and blaming their solicitor. Sometimes the agent is just telling you what you want to hear to cover up either of the above. No way to know for sure.2

Everyone says that. Nobody says I want to drag this out as long as possible because i stand to benefit from completing further down the line.
Yes there is slow solicitors out there, but they also undeservedly take the flack for slow clients and clients can't follow the most basic of instructions.
