Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
No sunshine this morning but apparently it will make an appearance later although much cooler than it has been. Not really complaining but everything will need watering again later.
Last day today for the long weekend, really looking forward to not doing much. I was going to visit friends up north but don't feel like doing the drive so will stay here and potter about.
Hope you're all well - enjoy your cruise Izzy! Take care. XX10 -
Good morning again. It's fine here and it's rained a bit overnight.
My micro suction procedure didn't happen yesterday, when I arrived at the place it transpired that the person who performed the procedure had gone off sick. However I now know of someone who will visit people at home to do it, so I'll contact her.
Gers I've had the procedure several times over the last 5 years, and it's much preferable to irrigation, which made me so dizzy. I hated it. As you say, micro suction is quick with instant results.
Hope you enjoy your holiday Izzy.
Going to the hairdressers this morning, then visiting a friend this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning allSunny at the moment but due to cloud over later. Temperature has dropped too. Looking to be a wet Bank Holiday weekend. Who'd have thunked it!Well our new bathroom is finished and am very happy with it. No more climbing in and out of the bath for a shower and love the new floor too.Today I'll catch up with some housework as I've now got the house back to myself. I want to get out into the garden this afternoon to stake up some plant that have been battered by the wind.Hope you've settled into holiday mode Izzy.Have a good day all x10

Lovely trip to Skipton yesterday. Warm.and sunny and coach trippers out in force. Other than lunch the only other spending was new knickers!
Today I must do a bi of cleaning. Everywhere neglected but I'm blaming that on the list of what not to do for 2 weeks. Good excuse really.
Have a good day folks take care all xx

Good morning all - thanks for the start @Scarlet. How annoying that the ear place didn't let you know before you trekked there. The weather is definitely on the turn here. Yesterday was so lovely, it's been great whilst it lasted. Today will be the swansong for the sun for a wee while. The appointment was OK - not brilliant but OK. After a battery of X-rays and the surgeon viewing them, he decided that I still need more physio (blooming heck, it's been more than two years) but has also referred me to one of his colleagues to pursue the option of a revision of the hip op. Just what I expected so nothing lost so far.Late on in the afternoon I got a text about one of my meds being ready at the big town 30 miles away so I drove up immediately for it and did a little light shopping too.My very long held contract with BT ended yesterday, the broadband provision here is simply too awful to continue. The router and landline ceased in early afternoon so I spent an hour or so reconnecting my smart home stuff to the EE mobile router instead. The Amazon plugs were the worst to reset but I persevered and got them back up and running after a couple of false starts. The problem was that, despite there being no internet service on the BT router it was still plugged in and everything was trying to connect to it. Once I'd unplugged it all went well. Not having BT will save me £40 per month, cancelling the contact lens contract is a saving of £20 per month too. MSE or what??This afternoon I have an invigilation session so will crack on with stuff now.Today is the fifth fourth anniversary of the death of my beloved Mum, time is flying on so fast. I have a wee quarter bottle of champagne to toast her with this evening, it was her favourite drink, I'm not fond of it but will manage in her memory.11

Good morning
Dull and grey outside and set to stay that way all day.
Today I'm going to the vets to pick up big dogs medication. Apparently there is 4 tablets to give him, 1 tonight and 3 in the morning, (if the receptionist got that right). Hes very good at taking tablets but I'm not looking forward to seeing him sedated, but if it helps him, then so be it. While out I'll pop into Lids for some bits and bobs.
No idea what's for tea, will maybe pick something up while out, or have a rummage in the freezer.
Have a good day everyone and hugs to all who need them. Take care.7 -
Morning all
Fine and dry here for now hopefully the sun will make an appearance later, yesterday we had rain all day at one point it was so heavy I couldn’t see where I was driving.
Rob coming today but we are not going to work, last week we had fibre internet installed and I was telling the man that the signal in the garden was really bad so he advised upgrading to premium for an extra £2 per month so we have done that and they are coming back today to install two more routers one for the conservatory and one upstairs and it’s still £18 cheaper than our last provider.
Not sure about dinner tonight will go and look at my list after this and get something out, dd is on a late again so just OH and I here for dinner.
Rob and I will walk the dogs this morning and then do some crafts / baking this afternoon, I might try some GF cupcakes for OH to take in his lunches.
I need to have a quick tidy through and run the hoover over.
Izzy have a great holiday xx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -

Thanks to those already posted.Taff was correct that the lesion on my back was frozen or burnt off (not sure which!) - all relatively painless and very quick. No stitches and not even a dressing. It was sore for a while and I had to change to a softer too cos my shirt was irritating it a bit.Have a drop off booked at the local hospice charity donation centre and a few bits of shopping to get. Very good friend of DMs and now the family is coming to stay for a few nights - she’s lovely, very interesting and great company so should be a nice few days. Menus are all planned and there is a selection of cakes made too! Diet must start soon,,…..
take care all

@Gers; has it really been 5 years? I remember that time and all that led up to it; some of us must have been posting here for at least a decade! Wishing you happy memories of your mum and we are still in awe of what you did for her.
Meanwhile, I am at home, poorly, and have let DH and his sister go off to the Cotswolds without me. I'm hoping it's only a nasty cold but would hate to pass it on as DS's wedding is at the end of the month. I did feel a bit better yesterday but maybe did too much so will take it easier today.
Allie: pleased it was removed relatively easily and I hope it heals up well.
I'm going to stay on the sofa a while longer and drink tea but will have to venture out for food provisions later.8 -
Good morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons - annoying about the cancelled procedure but hope you can have someone visit you at home instead.
I too can't believe it's been 5 years since your DMum passed away @Gers - I hope you find comfort in the good memories of her x
Happy cruising to @IzzyBee xx

Glad the procedure went well @AlwaysAllie x
I have a NWD today - went to bed with a headache last night and have it still, so I'm on a go slow today. I had a late night on Tuesday at WI then my train was cancelled in the morning, so yesterday was a bit challenging. I have put in a request to WFH on Wednesdays - all other team members are full time and do 2 at home/3 in the office, doing the same role as me. I am part time and do 3 in the office, but have requested 1 WFH. Will see what my line manager says tomorrow.
I have some plants to get into the garden today then I am at the theatre in London tonight with DSis, DD and DNiece - have to leave here at 4pm to catch the train now we live in the sticks!! Dinner will be on the hoof at the station.
Have a good day all.
