??? regarding UC and child leaving full time education

hi i have a son who will be leaving full time education in june so will come of my claim of Universal Credit,thats all fine and i understand that but was wondering i was on ESA but migrated to UC some months ago so also had transitnal money on top as i got the SDP  on ESA,so will that be taken of as well as my son will be working after leaving school and is 18yrs old ??

also at present i dont pay any council tax so will it change when my son leaves school and will be classed as an adult and hopefully working full time

    SDP is not paid under UC, what you now get is Transitional Protection. 
    Any child elements under UC will end but your TP will remain the same.

    Yes you will need to inform Council Tax and they will recalculate your award.

    Transitional Protection won’t end / reduce because Child Element stops. 

    For Council Tax purposes he’ll no long be exempt so if you currently have single person discount this will end. Each local Council’s CT Reduction scheme is different, so it’s hard to say exactly how this will be impacted - Entitled To is probably the most accurate calculator for this. 

    Edited to add - I meant most accurate online calculator, if you have a local Welfare Advice centre or Citizen’s Advice etc they might be better placed to advise for your area.
