BW Legal - Demanding for fine that doesn't exist (UKCPM)

I've had a few letters from BW Legal demanding for a parking fine to be paid. The date of offence is from last July and location is Croydon. The bizarre thing is neither me nor the car were at the location. My car isn't fit enough to travel more than 20 miles (I live in Manchester).

I have received a letter of claim a few days ago and they went a reply by 29/5/25. 

My question is will they have photographic evidence of the alleged vehicle? I don't know how else I can fight my case and prove my car was at home.

Firstly this is not a fine, it is a speculative invoice.

Use the standard Letter of Claim response from the newbies thread, but tell them that your vehicle has never been to Croydon and that you suspect this is a mis-read or cloned plate.  Demand the images.

Don't use the whole template LBC reply. Replace the questions (whole second half) with a robust paragraph telling them this must be a VRM misread as your car can't have ever made it to Croydon in a million years. Ask for all photos of the vehicle and a copy of the PCN and reminders they believe were sent.

- does this letter mention your car reg?

- is the address on your logbook up to date?
