EV Charging in a Rented Housing Association Flat

Hi All, I wonder if anyone can help me please.
I have just bought a 2nd hand Electric vehicle and I live in a Housing Association Elderly Rented Flat.
These are recently new build and have 2 Pod Point Charging points on the wall in the car park.
I hoped to be able to charge my vehicle cheaply from my home but I am being charged as if I'm using an everyday charger.
I have asked my Housing Officer to see if anything can be done but they say it's down to Pod Point who installed the chargers and they will not change. I don't even get a chance to use Off Peak cheaper charges as they have a price for all day every day.

Any thoughts on what a pensioner can do would be appreciated.

Sounds like it would have been more sensible to have checked your charging options before buying the vehicle  if you're now not satisfied with the option available

You could contact Pod Point and ask your options but I expect they will be limited.

In these circumstances being a pensioner isn't really relevant to the problem

    Pay it or charge elsewhere?

They are a business so the electricity will be on commercial rates so no E7, vat at 20%, no cap. They will need to charge a premium over the cost of the electricity because the equipment comes at a cost and has to be maintained. If they dont then other residents are having to pay for your car to be charged which doesnt really feel fair.

Unfortunately this is one of the major failings of the EV revolutions, they work ok for those with houses and driveways but are more problematic for those of us in flats. When our freeholder offered to install two charging points in the car park it was rejected by the leaseholders as the prices were not going to be materially different from public but would have lost space for bikes and you just know someone is going to plug in and leave their car 5 days

As above, how much are PodPoint charging you?
Do you have any option to charge from your home (easier with a ground floor flat that a 16th floor one)?
If you look at eg. ZapMap or Electroverse, you might find a cheaper local charger.
