Dealership fixed car but it's broken again and they say I have to pay

My boot is motor powered and won't open manually. It broke in 2023 and my local garage said I needed to take it into the company dealership as it was a specialist part.
When I took it in, I told them I thought that it had water damage but I didn't know how as there was no obvious leak in my roof / boot. They were very dismissive and said it was just age.
They replaced the motor module and I paid £700.
In 2024, the same part broke (within a year) and they agreed to replace it under warranty. They power jetted my car but said there was no leak, even though they found water again.
I said that the part is inevitably going to break again until the water issue is resolved but they were yet again dismissive and told me there was no leak.
The part broke again a few weeks ago... now they're refussing to pay for the repair because they say it's water damage. Which is what I told them 2 years ago when I first took it in!
Any advice on where I stand with this? The boot can't be used which is massively inconvenient as I have two dogs.
Thanks

How old is the car?
If you knew it was water damage did you get any other opinion about that?0 -
It is possible that water got in when the boot when the boot was opened. Given the general amount of rain, if there was a leak then you'd expect the part to fail more frequently than once a year.Have you searched the internet for other people having the same problem with your make & model of car? It could be a design flaw or maybe there's something you could be doing differently0
