West Brom Savings account

I've just opened a new savings account. And just discovered all I need to login is a/c no, DOB and a 4 digit pin number. This seems far too lax on security. I really don't want to invest now.

To withdraw money you will need a nominated bank account and enter a one-time passcode.

It's one-time-passcode to yr phone to w/d to your nominated account - and/or to make changes to personal details.

It's like lots of others - Santander,  Cov BS etc. - you can see your accounts but you can't do owt with them unless 2nd level of authentication.

Agree it's not ideal, all you can do is make that PIN unique and not 0000 nor 1234.

Would take a bot no time to run through all possible PINs, one can only hope that WestBrom would lock the account after a few attempts.

Seeing the comments on withdrawals I'm a bit happier. Thank you!
