Lifetime of IVA
Anyone got experience of an IVA lasting 15 years? We had one in place 2008-2010. The courts completed it then. I have had a SO to a creditor since then. They had never contacted me to update in all that time. I stopped the SO and got a phone call to ask why. They want to update the payment plan. As I am now 70, disabled and only have my pension- what are my options? My husband is still working ( he’s 5yrs younger!). Any thoughts?

IVAs do not normally last 15 years. Is it still showing on the insolvency register? Who is your IP?
Why were you paying a creditor who is in your IVA?
I think stopping the payment was a good move as this all sounds very odd, as does the court involvement.

Are you certain it was an IVA, an Individual voluntary arrangement?
