Are carrier choices clear to buyers for SD?

Are buyer's easily able to see a choice of carriers?
Only asking as I have had 2 feedback left now both moaning about how long evri took to deliver and how the seller used the worst carrier
Both of these were SD sales so I'd have thought the buyer should have had a choice? I have both carriers enabled.
Also, out of the 10 or so items I have sent with SD they have all been evri lables .
I understand that buyers will probably just choose the cheapest option but the ones that I had set to 'seller pays' were all evri as well. (I guess that's ebay choosing the cheapest)
It surprises me that buyers would leave a complaint about a service they have chosen themselves although maybe it took so long to arrive they forgot they had been offered a choice!

Also, I recall something about ebay saying they will remove feedback if it relates to SD so I'd think both of these comments could be removed.
However they are both positive ratings just with negative comments so when I go to request a removal it says I don't have any feedback that's eligible for removal.
Might actually be better to leave the feedback alone as a warning to any other buyers to choose royal mail!!0 -
Perhaps you could leave a follow-up feedback politely pointing out that the new eBay Simple Delivery leaves the choice down to the buyer and that you the seller have no control.2

I have bought a few things with SD and I could see my choices before I committed to pay. However I know different accounts seem to have different experiences of using eBay so it might be your buyers either we’re just given prices they could choose from, or they were given prices with the courier attached and ignore the fact they were choosing the courier, and just went for the cheapest option.Virtually everything I’ve sent with SD has gone with Evri and I’ve been surprised how quick it has been, certainly quicker than RM especially as I can post Evri daily, even on Saturday and Sunday, whereas RM tends to be Mon-Fri for me.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
