Tandem fixed saving account - when does the interest payment come through?

I had some money in a one year fixed saver account with Tandem. The fix has come to an end. They asked what I’d like to happen to the money, so I asked for it to be put into my standard Tandem account. It matured this morning but while the original amount has appeared in my account, there is no interest on top.
Is this normal? My only past experience has been with First Direct, where the interest is paid out with your original capital.
I have tried to follow up with Tandem but haven’t got any sense out of the online chat thing.
EDITED WITH OUTCOME! For some reason the interest was paid into my current bank account. Go figure!

I've sometimes seen interest paid as a different transaction, but always on the same day the capital is returned.

I have a 5 year fixed rate with annual payout.
Arrives on opening date to my bank at around 06.00am each year.
