As well as having my own domain email addresses and some other emails I also use DDG's email protection. People sometimes ask if I am being genuine when I give my address as xxxxxxxxxx@duck.com*that isn't the real addressJust try to use my duck address to book tickets and got rejected as it wasn't a "valid email"Use one of my other throwaway accounts instead.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid1

I have a google email for the phone.I have separate anonymous one (mixture of letters and numbers) for the more important stuff.I can access both via Thunderbird on a pc.Still don't completely trust these phone things... Just too much information in the one 'loseable' place.1

Email is the weakest way of getting second-factor security codes for logins. Better to use a text message or best of all an Authenticator app on mobi which is opened with a biometric like fingerprint.1

I am looking at proton for a password manager and encrypted email.
I use an authenticator app in work but for some reason I didn't think of one for myself 🤦♀️'...it is only kindness that makes sense anymore ' Naomi Shihab Nye0
