Neighbours moaning about my parked car......
Just had a visit from my neighbour about my car.
She said she can't get into her drive because my car is sometimes parked on the end of my drive, covering my drop path. (This time because i was cutting my hedge next to the drive) She said she's bit her tongue, but its happening alot recently!
Its my drive and my drop path........(Drop Curb)
Its not my problem surely that she can't get onto her drive?
Edit: Her driveway is directly opposite my home, so im not blocking her driveway. But my car parked at the end of my own driveway stops her getting out apparently.
Am i in the wrong?

So you are overhanding the public pavement?1

Hard to say for certain without seeing the relative positions, the width of the road etc. Who owns the drop kerb, is it yours or the local authority? Ours is owned by the LA if I parked on it I'd be blocking the pavement.0

So you do block her driveway when you park in a certain position, then yes, you are in the wrong.Rjhsteel said:Just had a visit from my neighbour about my car.

but its happening alot recently! Are you leaving your car across your drop kerb (note spelling) 'a lot recently'?Am i in the wrong?Right or wrong, neighbourly harmony seems to be rather fractured! Not great for peaceful existence. Are you trying to respond helpfully and positively?

I didn’t like the way she asked me to move the car tbh. Said she had bitten her tongue.Umkomaas said:but its happening alot recently! Are you leaving your car across your drop kerb (note spelling) 'a lot recently'?Am i in the wrong?Right or wrong, neighbourly harmony seems to be rather fractured! id rather be helpful though, and if I’m in the wrong then fair enough.I can guarantee I won’t park there as I need to move the car to cut the hedges from time to time though.0 -
Are you parking In/On your driveway, or, are you parking on the drop kerb at the end of your driveway?0

If you have a drive then why would you park on the road knowing it makes it difficult for someone else.Rjhsteel said:
I’ve parked on the road, covering the entrance to my driveway a few times.swingaloo said:Are you parking In/On your driveway, or, are you parking on the drop kerb at the end of your driveway?
Why not be a considerate neighbour.3 -
Perhaps just let the lady know when you're next cutting your hedge and ask if she does need to come in/out of her driveway that day, so you can move while she does so.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
