Buyer / Seller Postage Costs

I touched on this previously in in the Simple Delivery thread, but am looking for more specific answers / help now, if anyone knows how to fix the issue:

I like to offer Free P&P, however despite having both Evri & RM enabled if I offer 'Seller Pays' it auto defaults to RM which is frequently more expensive / not useful due to size. If I disable RM I have the same issue.

You must have buyers happy to pay extra as RM is the dearer option. I have SD enabled on most of my parcel size items now and less than 1 in 20 orders goes RM. I don't know if there is any way to push buyers towards an option if ebay are overwriting your SD options - I know the FAQs say that they will ignore your options if buyer can't use one or other option, but it seems odd so many of your items are affected.

Out of interest , would it worth seeing if you get the same result if you switch to buyer pays?

If I switch to Buyer Pays it always defaults to Evri.

Listed something earlier and it allowed me to pick Yodel as Simple Delivery couldn't be applied apparently, so who knows!

Ooh, I’ve never been offered Yodel, in fact I can only list with without  SD and can’t even see what I’m being offered. My settings for SD still only show Evri and RM as the 2 options. I wonder what they are tinkering with?

If I click choose couriers, don't change anything and then click back it then defaults to Evri on the 'Buyer Pays' option... So I guess the answer is just more glitches!

I haven't got the same screen as you then if this is the listing page. I can only choose SD or advanced/custom, I can't choose on my listing tools which couriers or RM is allowed on SD at all, I either have to enable both RM and Evri in my main SD settings that apply to all listings, or opt for one or the other.

However If I choose custom postage (where SD isn't enabled) then I can choose Yodel.

This is a screen shot of my listing page - if I choose custom then I can opt for whatever of my policies I want to use, if I choose Simple delivery though buyer gets to choose from only RM or Evri

Currently I only have the simple delivery option. With the exception of a listing yesterday for a power bank where it let me choose 'custom'

Found a workaround... I set postage as 'buyer pays' on a PC then edit it to 'seller pays' on the App it keeps the price the same.
