Credit card balance transfer from Sainsbury's to NatWest - still possible?

Sainsbury's bank, as we know, is moving to NatWest. I have a Sainsbury's credit card that I'm looking to do a balance transfer from. Annoyingly, the best deal for me is with NatWest.
As of May 1st, NatWest are now the legal owners of Sainsbury's accounts, however, according to their info pages, the accounts won't be transferred to NatWest systems until the end of the year.
Even deeper in the pages, it states: "Once your account(s) have moved to NatWest systems, expected towards the end of 2025 [...] You won’t be able to [...] Transfer the balance of your Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card account to another credit card within the NatWest Group"
Which presumably means that I currently can. Is it still worth trying?

I read that to mean exactly as you say. Other than a hard credit check, can't think that there's any problem in applying (or maybe just ask the question of Natwest first).antikewl said:

Thanks @flaneurs_lobster. I waded my way through NatWest's awful AI chatbot and, eventually, a real life agent told me that yes, Sainsbury's customers can still apply for NatWest balance transfer offers.0
