Want to edge tge lawn. The handy man suggested rolling lawn edges but these do not last long as they rot quickky. Any suggestions anybody pl. He quoted 11 mts rolling logs + batten and labour for £150 cash. Does this seem fair? Thans

It depends - do you want cheap that will need treating/changing every couple of years, or are you willing to pay more for a permanent job?  We have stone edging, set in concrete, around our lawn - 10 years and counting and still looks good.

screwfix have a wavy metal edging that's quite cheap but you get what you pay for. Log roll is about 11 to 15 quid per slightly less than 2 meters, so he's not asking much for labour.

We got this stuff from C@stco for cheap and it does a good job. Flexible if you have any curves in the garden beds. Easy to cut to size and move if you change the borders

What's wrong with Everedge? The RHS use the heavy-duty version, but the home DIY one ought to last 10 years or so.

Pretty sure I've seen the rubber stuff in Lidl but despite what people think it's not always cheapest.
