I have a Samsung Galaxy s24 fe, and would like to scan old photos and save to usb. Is there an easy/best way to do this?
Grateful for any help, thanks.

My work phone had an app Genius that did excellent scans. Just a case of setting the photos up so they are flat and properly lit. The key is to ensure the photo is flat, that the phone is parallel to the photo (using a stand helps) and try to avoid warm lighting that will give a colour cast to your photos.2 -
The Microsoft OneNote app is pretty good at detecting edges and tweaking the image to straighten it.
But if you want the best quality scan possible you should get a dedicated flatbed scanner.

Google photos scan does just that, it scans photos. You move your camera about and take photos from several angles it then combines them, removes reflections and produces a decent copy. It also did a good job of the Sistine chapel roof but that was way outside what it is promoted for3
